The events in the newest Catholic cathedral in the United States occur inside and on the plaza of one of the most amazing architectural wonders of the 21st century. The award-winning architect, Craig Hartman, is from the firm of Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill. The events run a full spectrum from the Twilights by the Lake (food, wine, music overlooking beautiful Lake Merritt) to outstanding concerts featuring world class performers. These are accompanied by docent led tours of the Cathedral and grounds. Tours are also given daily and by request. With the expanded connection being made possible by Social Media it will be more convenient to stay connected with The Cathedral of Christ the Light. The Cathedral app will provide instant access to a list of all the latest concerts, seasonal events, historical lectures, and architectural tours. In addition one will have the opportunity to view a gallery of photos and several videos of this magnificent place.
